New To Capital
What should I expect when I visit?
At Capital, we are excited to welcome you as our guest. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of Capital. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions:
What should I expect in church . . . what should I wear . . . what’s available for my kids . . . how do I get there?
Here is a quick look at what you can expect, based on what people see when they visit Capital.
- Whether you need childcare or are looking for a place for your teens, a greeter will be nearby to help you get where you need to go.
- You'll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. We’ll even give you a helpful outline with the Bible passages. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week.
- We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, all styles of dress are appropriate. Wear whatever is comfortable for you.
- We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You’ll see this in the buildings the children and students meet in, and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids.
- The offering is for those who are part of the Capital family. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something!

Not everyone has the same taste in worship style. That's why we've put together different worship venues on the Capital campus each weekend. We have something for everyone.
- 9am Classic. . . think choir, orchestra
Sunday morning's Classic service is just that, classic Capital Christian Center. The sound of the Capital Choir, Capital Orchestra and Band will usher you into God's presence. Pastor Rick communicates an effective and timely message that is relevant to every aspect of life. Our commitment is that you will be loved and accepted in a place where the message you hear will matter on Monday morning.
Music Examples: Israel Houghton, Darlene Zschech, Hillsong - 10:30am Casual . . . think guitars, high-energy
Our 10:30am service is relaxed and focused, with a different style of worship. Doug Reid and Freeway Fifty lead an acoustic guitar driven set that echoes the likes of U2 and Dave Matthews. As the communicator, Pastor Rick's conversational approach to biblical truths is attractive to this crowd. Each message provides practical guidance for the adventures of life. Join us as we connect through purposeful and caring relationships in a casual environment.

If it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church, Capital has you in mind! There’s already enough you have to think about when you’re visiting a church for the first time. We hope that getting some of this “stuff” out of the way not only encourages you to join us for church, but also helps you to connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.
